Gilded Erosion

Gilded Erosion is about being broken down, worn out, and still being beautiful anyway.
Layers of alcohol ink and acrylic build like sediment, rust, ember, and shadow pressed together over time, cracked open by seams of gold. Nothing here is smoothed over or hidden. The gold doesn’t cover what’s underneath; it traces it, like proof that even the roughest layers were worth marking.
This is a large-scale original — 3x2 ft on clayboard. It is one of one. There will not be a print, edition, or reproduction of this piece; once it finds its home, this exact painting will not exist anywhere else.
